Owner Builder

An owner-builder selling a house within 6 years and 6 months of completion is required by law in Victoria to provide warranty insurance for the new owner. Before this insurance can be obtained a report must be prepared by a prescribed building practitioner.

BSS offers this reporting service and provides information that suits the needs of insurers.
Our reports provide:

• A list of defects identified
• Condition and status of incomplete works
• Other observations

Most owner builders require these reports urgently and we respond usually within 24-48 hours. Reports are available one to two days following the inspection.
